PENGERSICK CASTLE PROJECT

Sometime in life an opportunity comes along that you just can not turn down well this is one of them.

I will be working on the renovation of the castle.

This also giving me the oppurtunity to experience some old and new activity from within the castle.

As all paranormal investigators know when building works start the activity increases.

I will be the one creating the changes so hopefully it will bring in some activity in my direction.

On a weekly basis i will be adding updates to this page on how things are going and if I have witnessed any activity in what i believe to be Cornwalls most haunted castle as you can understand other investigations will be put on hold so I can focus my time on capturing some activity at the castle.

1/12/11

The castle felt very normal mostly today. Whether it was that my head was stuck in the job in hand or it was just one of those quiet days.

I did however get the feeling that I was not alone up in the library for about 10 mins then the feeling went away. One odd thing occured on a few occassions in diffrent rooms as i was walking past the sound of keys being jangled. Only for a few seconds each time but enough for me to hear.

5/12/11

I spent a long day in the castle today.

Working in the kitchen all day. The day was very windy and wet. No activity at all today.

I did leave a camcorder running overnight today in the library.

Any activity captured from the footage I will let you all know when I do.

9/12/11

Once again a very quiet day nothing to report.

10/12/11

Only in the castle for a few hours and nothing to report again.

16/12/11

I spent 10 hours in the castle today. No activity again but the castle did feel active. Sounds strange but if you are an investigator you will know what I mean.

No activity caught on camcorder left in the library the other night.

I have however left a camera in the Solar room facing towards the staircase. I will let you now any results.

17/12/11

Today I spent the day in the Library on the top floor. All was quiet until i had bent down to clear some rubble when I heard a almighty bang behind me. To my amazement my goggles and lump hammer had been thrown into the middle of the floor from the window seal they were placed on. I did react very quickly by swearing at the culprit.

After that all was quiet and I continued working.

23 and 24th of December 2011

No activity again.

I have now moved to the bedroom where most activity is supposed to occur.

30th and 31st December 2011

0700 I had just entered the castle through the main doorway and was heading towards the guard room when I heard something walk in behind me. I decided to ignore it and the footsteps moved upstairs and stopped.

31st December

No activity although the castle felt very active. Very uneasy working today the times I quickly spun round thinking someone was in the bedroom with me.

1st and 2nd January 2012

Just started in the Solar room. All quiet. I ran cameras in this room and the bedroom above over night. After reviewing footage nothing was captured.

Once again in the Solar room and no activity again today.

14/1/12

The castle was slightly odd today. That is the only way i can describe it. At various moments throughout a period of time between 12.00 and 15.15 I heard what I believe to be a woman crying in various areas of the castle. Three times I hunted inside and outside the castle to locate a logical reason for this noise. I could not find one.

At one point I had a a headset radio on whilst I was working and the noise of a woman crying was loud enough to get me to remove the headphones. After this point I searched the castle for the last time and decided to ignore any future noise. It did not happen again before I left. I left a locked off camera running in the Guards room.

19th and 20th January 2012

All very quiet these past few days. Just a visit from the local resident cat. After reviewing a camcorder left in the solar room from the 19th of January I captured a very large bang from inside the castle. I am unsure what it was here is the link. I am not saying it is paranormal just very odd. It sounds like something being thrown.

Strange event today. I had come in at 07.00. Today I was working in the office. I noticed all my tools were on the window seal as I left them.

I started work aprox an hour later I went to pick up my Bolster it was not there also my crowbar. They were when I checked when I came in. I searched the castle with no joy. I resumed my work. Later on in the day I was removing more wood from the pile to go into the fire when I found my tools inside a huge pile of wood. I have no idea how they got there. I was the only person in the castle all day. I really can not explain this occurence.

Mostly quiet today apart from one odd experience. I was in the guards room when I heard the water run up stairs and then someone walk out of the office. I ran upstairs to find no one there. This was very distinct and there was no doubt in mind what i heard.
