HISTORY

I contacted this location after some research on the internet. This location has not been investigated before and the manager did not wish for the location to be disclosed.

The feeling of a presence which makes people feel uncomfortable. Some Poltergiest activity has also been reported.

INVESTIGATION

The investigation was only for 2 hours due to time constraints so the main areas had to be covered quickly.

I was joined by the manager throughout the investigation.

First part of the investigation I set up a camcorder and voice recorder in one of the outbuildings and left the building focusing on another outbuilding.

Myself and the manager carried out a vigil trying K-2 contact and a EVP session. Although I did capture some lights these proved to be a insect. EVP session proved no activity also the K-2 contact had no results.

We decided to try an outside area where a sense of dread is somtimes felt.

We carried out a vigil for aprox 20mins. On the vigil I did hear what I believed to be something walking towards me. It however turned out to be Badgers.

We then focused our attention on a outbuilding which has had reports of Poltergiest activity. I carried out a EVP session and K-2 contact with no results.

We then moved our attention to another outbuilding and carried out the same experiments with no results.

The investigation then ended.

CONCLUSION

This is one investigation I had high hopes for and was hugely let down.

I reviewed all footage and EVP sessions with no results. The investigation location was a privelage to be at and I thank the manager for letting me be the first to investigate the location. At the present moment I have to say I do ot think the location is haunted hopefully following investigation with a little more time will prove fruitful.

HALLOWEEN CHARITY EVENT

HISTORY

Many people have claimed to have encountered some of the 20 odd ghosts said to be here. Many have seen or photographed strange orbs of light. Electrical malfunctions are common place. There are massive temperature drops. Ghosts include. A 14th century monk, a 13 year old girl who danced to her death off the battlements, a 4 year old boy who tugs at ladies dresses, the re-enactment of a medieval murder, a woman seen walking through a wall and pacing the room, a woman stabbed to death in the castle, a man stabbed and strangled in 1546 in front of a fireplace. This was one investigation I was not going to turn down when offered to me to do for charity.

INVESTIGATION

The scene was set for this investigation. A very dark night no moon, overcast with showers.

I arrived at the castle at 18.45. This was the beginning of the most scariest nights I have ever encountered.

I spent a few minutes bringing my equipment into what was once the kitchen area.

This is when things very slowly started happening. I decided I would set up the CCTV system in the kitchen area and the adjoining Guards room. To my suprise it did not work. Like with all my equipment I double check batteries and check that all cameras are working before I leave home.

I decided that I would set up a camcorder instead to find it was also not working. Slightly concerned I attempted to use my Sony camcorder which I found to be working.

I made my way up to the Library on the top floor and began a vigil. After about 20mins of no activity I decided to move down to the next level which is the Bedroom noted as the most haunted room in Europe.

Once again I had no activity and decided to leave the camcorder running whilst I went to fetch another battery as this one was draining at speed.

I was descending the stairs past the Solar room when the lights in all of areas of the castle. Then my head torch stopped working at the same time. None of the emergency lights worked either.

I managed to make my way out of the castle in zero visibility. I was alarmed and a little confused.

Once outside I did notice the outside light stayed on? Shorely if it was a powercut all the lights should have been off.

I walked to my car to see the lights switch back on in the castle all at once.

I composed myself and stupidly went back in. I had just walked up the stairs and into the toilet when the toilet and office lights started flicking on and off. I grabbed a piece of equipment from the office and slowly started descending the stairs. The lights started switching off one by one as i passed them. By this point I began to run I just made it out of the guards room when all lights went off apart from once again the outside light.

I had enough very shakey and scared I have to admit. The first time ever I had to admit defeat there was no way I was going back in the castle.

CONCLUSION

I can say without a shadow of doubt this castle meets its reputation as the UK's most haunted castle.

I have had time to go through footage and audio and have found nothing out of the ordinary.

The only evidence I have is my view of what happened. I have no physical evidence to back up my report.
