INVESTIGATION

I had heard about this location from another group investigator.

I contacted the landlord Chris Dyson about me visiting his premises.Chris was very welcoming and a date was arranged.

I turned up at the location at 21.00 and was told about the experiences that have occured from Chris. He described areas of activity and the type of events that had happened to him.He then left me to set up my equipment.

I set up for cameras in the restaurant,the bar, skittle alley and the corridor situated between the restaurant and the lounge.

Once the pub closed the cctv was put on. I ventured around many of the active areas taking various pictures.(please see photo gallery).

I captured some good orbs. One picture containing almost thirty.I ventured back to my base in the lounge and monitored the cctv. There was no activity.I decided to grab my camcorder and the K-2 meter and try getting some response.

I did not expect the results I got.

I sat in the bar area and placed the K-2 meter on the table and began filming.

I started asking for anyone who wishes to communicate with me to step forward.At this point the lights on the K-2 meter started moving in response to my questions.See footage=

 I then decided after 30mins to get a witness.

The question was then asked whether the man who was communicating with us wanted to communicate with the landlord Chris.The meter hit the top milligaus reading.Chris came in and took over where tom left off.

After our session the meter readings ceased.I decided to explore the rest of the premises with no activity.

I decided to call it a night about 02.30.

CONCLUSION

I was really surprised by the K-2 responses tonight. I attempted to find a reasonable reason behind the meter fluctuations.

I disconnected cctv switched off my equipment tested for EMF readings with no results. I even disconnected the internet with no change to the responses I was getting. This bit of equipment has never given me any results before.

The orb shots I got were also very strange. When I take photographs I do multiple exposures. Each photograph I have listed had a orb or multiple in one shot but in the other exposures there was nothing.

Do I think this pub is haunted?.........A BIG YES!!!!!!!!!

INVESTIGATION

I had contacted the owner of the premises Nigel a couple of months before the investigation after being tipped off about the supposed activity which has been witnessed at the inn.

Nigel warmly invited me to carry out a investigation.

On the above date I arrived at the premises at 20.30.

Nigel gave me a tour of the premises and then left me to carry out my investigation.

Their was no guests booked in this night and Nigel had left the building in my hands. I was alone to carry out my investigation.

I decided to carry out the start of the investigation in the bedrooms and hallway upstairs. I carried out a Emf test in all the area upstairs with no strange peaks in the meter.

As I moved from room to room there was a very relaxed and inviting atmosphere with a perfect picture perfect layout in each room.

Their was two rooms of interest. Bedroom 1 I carried many tests filmed took pictures, EVP recordings with no results but I did experience K-2 fluctuations on a couple of occassions over a 30min period. The meter was positioned on the bed away from any known power sources.

Bedroom 4 The mariners room

This room took my breath away.....

Let me begin. I had entered the room with my K-2 switched on. As I went to walk away from the meter which I placed on the table in the middle of the room the lights on the meter hit max and stayed their for aprx 10 seconds then went back to 0. I switched most of the light of just leaving one wall light on until I could adjust to my surroundings.

I sat by the table and started to call out with various light resonses from the meter to my questions and then it stopped. I decided to sit on the bed and position the meter next to me.

I started asking questions again this time including asking out for a servant girl called Mary who Nigel had mentioned. The bedroom was situated in the old servant quarters. As soon as I started talking to Mary the meter went crazy.Response after Response to my questions through the meter. At one point I noticed the wall lights dimming. I asked the supposed spirit of Mary if this was her. She replied through the meter once again for yes and then the lights dimmed again before retuming to normal. I then asked Mary to stand by a doorway leading out to the garden. I switched of all the lights and focoused the camcorder n the doorway. I did observe 2 small lights move towards me from the doorway but I can't clarify whether it was a insect or a orb. I also took a picture which shows a orb near the doorway.

This whole K-2 contact lased for over a hour before stopping.

I then focused my attention in the restaurant and lounge. There was no apparent activity apart from a couple of K-2 responses but on looking back through footage noticed a orb very close to me.

I did notice the sound of someone walking along the corridor upstairs. I ran upstairs to find nothing but as I stood there i heard what i thought to be foot steps head towards me and then walk past me and down the corridor.

There was no atmosphere change which made me a little confused. As a invetigator you pick up a gut instinct or a vibe if activity is occurring. I had none of these.

Once again I started hearing the foot steps once again starting at the same place. I put my ear to the floor and realised that a heating pipe mus be running beneath the floor making the old floor boards creek in rotation. Maybe due to air in the system.

I decided to concentrate on the old coach house bedroom situated outside the main building. I spent nearly a hour in this room due to Nigel commenting on some activity being noticed in here. I had no activity. I however noticed that when lorries went along the main Minehead rd in front of the property there was slight tremors within the room. Outside noise was a big point I noticed various times owls and foxes noises which sound pretty spooky if youre not looking for a valid reason to paranormal activity.

I decided to call it a night. The thought of my hour and a half drive home when I was starting to feel tired made me decide to finish the investigation at 01.30.

CONCLUSION

After spending this short period of time in this lovely building I have to say by the K-2 experiment results that I feel that the building to have some kind of unexplained activity.

After looking through multiple pictures I took there was 1 orb shot of interest in the mariners room. Please see in photo gallery.

On no instance did I feel threatened or uncomfortable in this inn.

Due to the size of the building I could not cover all areas and feel the best course of action is to bring the team in to cover more areas on a future investigation.

HISTORY OF ACTIVITY

was contacted by the owners of a property in Somerset after they were concerned about activity within there property they had only lived in for the last 6 months. There dog at times appeared to be nervous even scared of something at times in there living room. The owners had also heard  the door leading to there there living room open and shut on a couple of occassions. Also reported was the smell of old cigarettes in the master bedroom. The building being over three hundred years old hopefully may hold some activity.

INVESTIGATION

I arrived at the location at 19.30. I spent sometime chatting to the lovely owners and having a tour of the property.

Next I done a complete sweep of the proprty for any EMF readings.There was nothing out of the ordinary.

I decided to carry out  various lone vigils in the upstairs rooms with noactivity.In use was the camcorder,K-2 meter and the digital voice recorder. Next I sat with the owners in the living room for sometime with no readings from the K-2 meter and no apparent activity.

I then reinvestigated the upstairs rooms with no results.

Then I returned to the living room and sat with the lady of the house whilst her husband went and walked the dog.We had been sat chatting for aprox 5 mins when we both heard the sound of water dripping and then the back door open and shut.We first presumed it was her husband and she called out with no response.I went out into the kitchen and out the back door to realise her husband was not around. I returned to the living room and relayed that her husband was not the cause of the sounds. After about 10mins her husband returned.He had been down the lane leading away from the house.

After this event all went quiet and I left around 02.30.

CONCLUSION

The investigation was very uneventful apart from the incident of the back door being heard open and shut. I did notice at times the owners dog look at certain areas within the living room as if he was watching something or someone. On reviewing footage from the rooms upstairs I did pick up some light anomalies. In one case I had just asked out for a sign that someone was in the room with me.

Do I think this house is haunted?

The owners were very genuine and I do believe they have witnessed some activity. I cant explain the door opening and closing. The lights I picked up appeared to me to be orbs. Without more evidence I cant be sure.

HISTORY OF ACTIVITY

I had been contacted earlier in the week by Points West about the supposed paranormal activity at this location. After visiting the location and speaking to the owners and staff member about the activity I arranged a investigation as soon as possible.

The reports of poltergiest activity being moved to interaction with a spirit through whistling.

INVESTIGATION

I was joined by Carla the owner of the premises for this investigation.After setting up the CCTV in all of the active areas.We commenced the investigation at 21.30.Throughout the night we carried out many experiments from K-2 contact to EVP sessions. On one K-2 session we did have movement on the K-2 meter but this was sparadic and not in interaction with questions. Evp sessions were without any response on reviewing recordings.

There was one strange occurence at 12.30 I had smelt burning first of all but this seemed to change to a choclatey smell which Carla experienced also. This lasted a couple of minutes and went away. We lasted out till 02.30 with no activity.

CONCLUSION

I was extremely dissappointed with the lack of activity and so was Carla.

I used every piece of equipment on this investigation. On reviewing the footage there was no activity or shall I say nothing paranormal.

At this point I have to say from my opinion that I could not find any proof to say there is any activity going on. Not saying what I was told from the witnesses I dont believe. Im just saying without evidence I believe the building not too be haunted. I think a second investigation would be called for soon.

THE POLAR BEAR 2

INVESTIGATION HISTORY

I was contacted by a reporter from the Bridgewater Mercury to carry out a follow up investigation at The Polar Bear. It was a good time to attempt to capture some activity at the chipshop as the previous investigation turned up with no evidence.

The same as the previous investigation apart from Digital temp reader.

INVESTIGATION

I was joined by Carla,Sam and James from the Bridgewater Mercury.

CCTV was set up throughout the property. Voice recorders was set up in various places. Camcorder was used in various spots throughout the property.Digital camera shots were taken at random.

We tried many types of communication to try and incourage interaction.

Carla the owner of the property experienced some cold spots on various parts of her right arm when she was talking out at aprox 12.30. Using the digital themometer which has a infrared spot which you direct on any areas and gives a accurate reading I was suprised to get drops in temp by 10 degrees on the areas on her arm and hands where she felt a cold spot.What was noteable was Carla said that the cold spots were moving up and down  at various points.Where she pointed to drops the temp reader picked up large temp fluctuations.

The rest of her arm was reding the same.

At 01.50 myself and James heard a woman moaning in the preparation area. I made my way in and heard a woman say a few words which I couldnt make out. Then at 02.15 we heard someone walking slowly in the flat above. This was odd as the flat is vacant at present. I stood on a stool and put my ear to the ceiling and def heard movement for a couple of minutes.

The activity ceased and we closed the investigation at 02.45.

CONCLUSION

These 2 investigations have taught me a lesson always investigate a location more than once. just because you might not get any activity on one investigation dosnt mean you wont get results another time.

I have to say that after the second investigation I do believe the premises to have some activity. A picture I took whilst on the investigation is very strange  and seems to show a monk. The temp fluctuations cant be explained. the sounds of a woman were distinct.
